Religious Education: Nursery (0-4 years old)

Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are welcome in our nursery during Sunday worship services as well as during regularly scheduled meetings and/or special church events. There is no cost for this service, but you must stay on the premises while your child is in our care. The nursery is open on Sundays from 10:15 am until 12 noon, which allows parents time to enjoy the service and visit in Jackson Hall for coffee and conversation afterward.

Our nursery staff consists of experienced babysitters with certification in Infant and Child CPR. They must be at least 14 years of age and they work in teams. Our ratio of kids to staff is 3:1.

Nursery staff spends quality time with your children. They read to them, play with them, and let them enjoy our many classic toys, both quiet and active. We do not allow television, computer, or video games to distract from the valuable social interaction between your child, the other children, and the caretakers.

Snacks are not usually provided in the nursery. However, if your child will require a bottle or snack, please feel free to bring these items when you sign in your child and let the staff know.

On occasions such as committee meetings or choir practice, older children may also come to the nursery for supervision while you are busy. Please let the Director of Religious Education or the nursery coordinator know in advance if you will be bringing extra children, so that we may schedule enough staff. Also, please remind your older children about the need for gentle, appropriate behavior around the little ones.
