Michelle Mueller, Director of Religious Education
Michelle Mueller joined our Staff as Director of Religious Education in August 2011. Michelle comes to us from the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where she served as Acting Director of Religious Education for two and a half years. Michelle holds a Master of Divinity and Certificate in Sexuality and Religion from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. Prior to being a DRE, Michelle’s experience included youth ministry, campus ministry at UC Berkeley, and interfaith activism. Michelle brings imagination and creativity to our Religious Education program for children and youth. Besides her work at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Stockton, Michelle is a Ph.D. student at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, where she is studying feminist theology and Islam. Curtis Mannah, Music Director
Curtis Mannah, is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a degree in Music Education. He has studied conducting with Joseph Flummerfelt, Robert Page, John Alexander, and Gary Unruh. Currently Curtis teaches choir, electronic music, math and serves as the head teacher at the One Visual and Performing Arts Academy in Stockton as well as conducting the Delta Harmony Xpress, a prospective chorus of Sweet Adelines International. He also is the vocal music director for the Hayward-La Honda Music Camp during the summer months. Curtis has lived and worked throughout the Stockton area since 1996. He has been very active throughout greater Stockton and Central Valley arts community during that time. He has served as the artistic director for the Stockton Chorale & Master Chorale, chorus master for the Stockton and Towsend Opera companies and music director for the Lincoln Summer Theater program. Curtis is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association. In the past, he has coordinated their All-State and Regional High School Honor Choir Programs. He has been the Guest Conductor for the California Music Educators Association Bay Section and San Joaquin County Junior High Honor Choirs. Krista Snyder, Office Administrator
Krista Snyder lives in Tracy with her husband Mike and daughter Audrey. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. Having worked as a teacher and a dog trainer, she now runs the church office as our Office Administrator. The church office is open Monday 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Please call during this time, or email her at office@stocktonuu.org, with any questions you may have or for more information about our church.
